Thank you for inquiring with the Metropolitan Airport Authority (MAA) of Rock Island County regarding job opportunities at the Quad City International Airport.

The MAA does not accept e-mail attachments of resumes nor do we respond to specific inquiries about job openings. We do not post job openings on our website.

Job openings for the MAA are posted in the local newspaper (Rock Island Argus/Daily Dispatch) classified section. The MAA hires for the following departments at the airport: Administration, Airfield Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Custodial Maintenance, and police/fire public safety. Custodial Maintenance positions are initially hired through the offices of Sedona and Manpower, in Moline, IL. Police/Fire and public safety are not “security” jobs, they are specific to that field.

Applications are always accepted and are available at the MAA offices located in the terminal building inside of door #1. You may fill out an application and insert a resume if you wish. MAA office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00 – 4:30 p.m. (closed noon – 1 p.m. daily, weekends, and major holidays.) Applications stay on file for 6 months.

The MAA has nothing to do with hiring for the tenants within the airport facility such as the airlines (counter/customer service, baggage handling), rental car agencies, restaurant, deli/bar, and gift shops. You may apply independently with those companies as they hire their own staff. You may ask these tenants for an application, or bring your resume with you. Some tenants require that you apply on-line to be considered at the local level and they can inform you of the website addresses.

The airport contracts with two local employment services companies to hire for jobs that are based at the airport. The first is Manpower, located in downtown Moline in the Caxton building. They screen & hire employees for exit lane attendants in the airport parking lot, as well as all associated positions for the local AirTran Airways ticket counter. Airline positions include both indoor & outdoor work including the customer service counter, and loading/unloading of aircraft.

Sedona hires part and full time custodial positions, curb patrol, wheelchair and electric cart attendants, and skycaps (a.k.a. "customer care.")  They are located on 7^th Street Moline.
