Maintenance Worker – FT

The Metropolitan Airport Authority seeks a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our Airfield Maintenance team. Duties include maintenance, repair and upkeep of airport facilities, including grounds keeping, snow removal, equipment maintenance and painting. Education, Experience, and/or Training: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, AND at least one year of grounds and facility maintenance experience which includes the operation of motorized horticultural and/or complex heavy equipment; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to learn FAA regulations and other federal, state and local regulations that affect maintenance and operations of an airport; ability to operate complex and motorized equipment; ability to maintain and make minor repairs to light and medium equipment; ability to understand and follow oral and written communications and to effectively communicate with customers, tenants and other employees of the organization; ability to use handheld and ground radios to effectively communicate and report physical location at all times; ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed.

Pay commensurate with experience and qualifications with range starting at $21.09/hour. Selected candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen.
