A Lifesaver Award presentation was made today to three airport public safety officers and a public safety dispatcher for their quick action in responding to a medical emergency in the airport parking lot. Each officer received verbal recognition at the Metropolitan Airport Authority Board of Commissioners meeting, which will be logged into the official records of the MAA, as well as a certificate presentation for their outstanding and timely response efforts.
Benjamin Leischner, Executive Director says “Safety and Security are of the utmost importance at this airport. These individuals worked as a team while maintaining a safe airport for the traveling public during this incident. I could not be more proud of our public safety department and their swift response to the scene, where the officers administered CPR to a member of the public. I am pleased to report there was a positive outcome.”
L to R: Amber Bergheger, Dispatcher, and Officers Steve McGuire, Cole Rogers, and Lloyd Murphy.
