Quad City Int'l Airport to host Explorer Post May - August 2016

The Quad City International Airport is proud to announce that they have formed an Exploring Post in cooperation with the Illowa Council of the Boy Scouts of America. An Exploring post is open to young men and women, ages 14 who have graduated 8th grade through 20 years of age.

The focus of the Exploring Post is Aviation. Five participants (minimum) are needed to conduct the remaining tours for Summer '16.

The next Exploring Post Tour is on Friday, June 24th, from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. A brief registration from 2:00 - 2:30 will be held at the Public Safety Police/Fire building for those not previously registered. $10.00 per participant will be collected on-site. The tour of the Public Safety Department will follow from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.  (See map below.)

If we reach our goal of five participants, there will be two subsequent tour events in July and August. at the Civil Air Patrol, and with General Aviation pilots and their aircraft. The program is set up to be of interest to those considering aviation or related careers.

It would be helpful to have an RSVP to ensure we will be able to reach our five participant minimum. Please contact Cathie Rochau, Marketing, at 309-757-1743 or via e-mail at crochau@qcairport.com by Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016.
