Contest rules

Entry: Enter online by visiting the Quad Cities International Airport (QCIA) website and completing the form and clicking the submit button (limit ONE online entry on the QCIA website, PER eligible person with a valid email address per day). For your initial entry, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, phone, mailing address, primary reason for travel and email opt in for QCIA. All subsequent daily entries will require an email address only. A daily entry is considered an entry submitted within the same calendar day within the entrant’s time zone. Multiple entries per calendar day will result in disqualification. All entrants must be 18 years of age or older. This contest will end May 21, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CST. All personal information obtained through submittal of entry will be used for the purposes of conducting the sweepstakes and to provide promotional materials relating to QCIA. Entrants consent to use of their name, city, state, photograph and video for editorial, advertising, promotional and publicity purposes without further compensation. Entrants/Winner may be asked to participate in ceremonial voucher presentation including media, videography, photography or otherwise. When you enter online, you will be asked to consent to receive promotional emails and reminders from QCIA. Consenting to receive such emails is required to be eligible to enter the giveaway.

Prize: One (1) person shall win the grand prize, which consists of one (1) $1,000 travel voucher that must be redeemed for travel from the QCIA. Air travel must originate from the QCIA (airport code MLI) through one of the four (4) air carriers providing service to QCIA (Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines). Winner can only redeem once travel has been booked and must produce an itinerary to designated Airport staff. Voucher must be redeemed within one (1) year, but the travel date can extend beyond the expiration date. Air travel redemption will be in the form of a check issued by the QCIA and mailed to the winner. If air travel is less than the prize amount, a cash payout will not be given. The reimbursement will only cover the final total of the ticket(s) if less than $1,000. The prize cannot be combined with airline miles or other vouchers with the airline. The QCIA reserves the right to deny request for redemption if air travel does not meet the intention of the criterion listed above. All travel is subject to any and all restrictions imposed by the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, or QCIA Department of Public Safety.

Winner Selection: One (1) grand prize winner will be selected in a random drawing during the sweepstakes period. The one (1) winner will be selected at random by the QCIA team by June 4, 2021, 12:00 p.m. CST. The winner may be contacted either by phone, email, in writing or in person via an “ambush-style” communication by the QCIA team. The prize winner may be filmed or recorded during or otherwise at this time. If QCIA is unable to contact the prize winner within five (5) days of the initial attempt, if the potential prize winner fails to return all requested forms fully executed, or if the potential prize winner fails to comply with these official rules, their place as a possible prize winner will be forfeited at QCIA’s discretion, and an alternate prize winner shall be selected. The winner may be asked to participate in a ceremonial voucher presentation including media, videography, photography or otherwise at a location of the QCIA’s choosing.

Eligibility: This contest is offered in the United States to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees or representatives of QCIA and their advertising agencies, including their immediate families, or other persons whose participation will create an appearance of impropriety (in the sole discretion of QCIA), are not eligible to enter. QCIA will not be responsible for late, misdirected or lost entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. The authorized account holder of the email address and the entrant must be the same person. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. All entries become the property of QCIA and will not be returned to the entrant.

General Conditions: Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in the opinion of QCIA, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the sweepstakes, or if computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, QCIA reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and void any entries submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the sweepstakes, or to terminate the sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the termination date. Duplicate entries in the same calendar day are considered fraudulent and will result in disqualification from the contest. Should the sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on the QCIA website. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the potential prize winners based on an email address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Such authorized account holder will be required to comply with these official rules, including but not limited to, the limitations hereafter stated. This contest is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and is void where restricted or prohibited by law. Any and all disputes, claims and actions arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by binding AAA arbitration (venued in Rock Island County, Illinois). Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this sweepstake, but in no event attorney’s fees, or punitive, special or consequential damages. BY ACCEPTING THE PRIZE, THE WINNER AGREES THAT ALL EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, COMMISSIONERS, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS OF THE SPONSOR, QCIA, WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND WILL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER FOR ANY LIABILITY, ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, TO WINNER OR OTHER PERSONS, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) INJURIES, LOSS OR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO DEATH, DAMAGES OR LOSSES TO PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY CONTEST OR PRIZE-RELATED-ACTIVITY. All taxes, fees and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternative prize winner.
