Airport Advertising

Baggage Delivery: Delayed or Lost Luggage
The airline on which you flew is the first point of contact regarding your lost or delayed baggage. Always make a claim with the airline representative at baggage claim immediately upon noticing that your baggage is not on the carousel. The airline will make arrangements with you and will provide you with their contact information so that you can call to check on the status of your bag.

Bus Route "MetroLink"
The Quad City Int’l Airport is accessible via the MetroLINK Route 20 bus, also known as route 20 blue.
The bus stops in front of the terminal twice an hour, at :10 after and :40 after the hour.
Monday-Friday, the route starts at 6:10 a.m. and ends at 6:10 p.m.
On Saturday, the route begins at 8:40 a.m. and ends at 6:10 p.m.
On-demand service outside of these hours can be scheduled by calling (309) 788-3360.

Business Center "Destination Points"       
The Destination Points business center is located on the right hand side of Concourse B, just prior to the AirTran and United gates. There is a frosted glass door with an access card reader along the west wall.

Destination Points is a membership based business center which treats our regional corporate travelers and frequent flyers to privacy and relaxation.

  • Two High Speed Internet Connections are available
  • One “land line” for dial-up or calling card calls
  • Complimentary bottled water, coffee and cappuccino
  • Cable TV & Fireplace

Complimentary membership is available to qualified individuals with at least 15 round trip flights per year out of the airport. You should be based out of the Quad Cities or surrounding area counties in Eastern Iowa or Western Illinois.  Chair Massage
“Touch & Go”
Chair massage is designed to relax muscles, relieve stress, and enhance circulation, making you feel rejuvenated, refreshed and revitalized. The chair is specially designed so the clients kneel fully clothed and the professional therapists work the neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands and scalp. "Touch and Go" can be found in Concourse B.

Employment
Job listings for open positions with the Metropolitan Airport Authority (MAA) are not posted on this website. Please do not e-mail for a listing of open positions. Job openings for the MAA are run in the classified section of the local newspaper. Applications are always accepted, however, during regular MAA business hours, M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., closed 12 – 1. There is no general employment office in the airport for jobs such as screening.  You must go to each of the businesses individually (i.e. airlines, rental cars) and fill out employment applications or bring your resumes. The gift shop offers reading material, candy and travel necessities such as neck pillows and sundry items. Souvenirs, including John Deere toys, gifts for kids and state logo wearables from Iowa and Illinois, are featured among our specialty items.


Ground Transportation/Taxi Cabs
The Metropolitan Airport Authority of Rock Island County (MAA) oversees the taxi cab and livery operations.  Guidelines and Customers' Bill of Rights & Responsibilities are posted in a glass case adjacent to the phone board located on the east wall of the baggage claim area.  The following taxi and livery services pay a monthly fee to be a licensee at the airport:

These companies may be available in designated parking stalls outside of Exit 7 or they may be contacted by using the phone board located at the baggage claim.  On the phone board you will find a two-digit phone number to call the taxi cab companies directly. Pre-arranged taxi services for late evening arrivals is recommended.

Lost & Found
All items lost in the terminal building are logged in, locked and stored at the MAA offices. To claim or report a lost item, please contact the MAA during regular business hours at (309) 764-9621. If you lost the item on your inbound or outbound flight, you must make a claim with the airline on which you flew. If you think you left an item at the screening checkpoint, please note that those found items are brought to MAA lost & found as well.

In addition to a sit-down restaurant and lounge in the main terminal, there is a snack bar and lounge beyond the screening checkpoint. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with a full service menu available. The snack bar serves beverages and snack items throughout the day including bagels, sandwiches, pizza slices, Whitey’s ice cream and more. View Menu

Travelers with Special Needs
It is the position of the Metropolitan Airport Authority to accommodate those individuals with special needs. We have skycap services available for help with baggage from the parking lot or curb. In addition, our Customer Care team is ready to transport passengers needing wheelchair assistance from the airline ticket counters to their gates or from their gates to the baggage claim area. Please let the airline know upon check-in if you would like to take advantage of this service. The curb attendant may also page for a skycap and wheelchair service at the curbside, if needed. For our hearing impaired guests, TTY machines are available at all public payphone terminals. For more information please call the MAA office during regular business hours at (309) 764-9621.

Visitor Information Station
Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The information station is staffed by volunteers of the Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau and is located diagonally from the gift shop, across from the restrooms near the hanging airplane. The information station contains visitor maps and sightseeing/attraction brochures for the Quad City area. Wireless Internet Access
Wireless internet access is provided throughout the airport by Mediacom. To activate the wireless follow these steps:

Move your mouse over your wireless icon on your task bar. It should say "Wireless Network Connection (Mediacom)". If it does not say that, check your wireless choices. There should be one listed that shows a UNSECURED wireless network. Choose that one. Click on your internet browser. The first time you will see a page that pops up with our logo on it. Simply click the Log In.
