Bus Services, Taxi's and Shuttles, Rental Car Companies at QCIA

Taxi's and Shuttles:
The Metropolitan Airport Authority of Rock Island County (MAA) has a program in place for taxi cab and ground shuttle operations by providing a variety of licensed providers. 
Several of these partners providers require a reservation particularly in the evening hours. Travelers may contact the company of their choice on their own, but that company may only pick up or drop off that reserved traveler and may not solicit for other rides on airport property.

These companies may be available in designated parking stalls outside of Exit 7 or they may be contacted by using the complimentary phone board located on the east wall, located in baggage claim. To view the currently posted taxi rates, click here.  On the phone board you will find a complimentary two-digit phone number to dial for rates and services from providers listed. *Please note two companies are appointment-only.

Rental Car Companies

The following major rental car companies are located in the public terminal inside exits 6 & 7 on the east end, near baggage claim. The return lot is located east of the terminal building, and has an entrance sign into the rental car lot. Rental & return parking stalls are signposted and designated accordingly.

METRO Public Transportation

The Quad City Int’l Airport is accessible via METRO on Route 20 Blue. The METRO bus stops in front of the terminal across from door 6 twice an hour, every 30 minutes. Monday through Friday the route starts at 6:10 a.m. and ends at 6:10 p.m. On Saturday the route begins at 8:40 a.m. and ends at 6:10 p.m. On-demand service outside of these hours can be scheduled by calling (309) 788-3360. No bus service on major holidays.

RIM Rural Transit

RIM (an acronym for Rock Island and Mercer Counties) Rural Transit is brought to our region through the cooperative efforts of the Federal Transit Authority, Illinois Department of Transportation, Rock Island County Government, Mercer County Government, Bi-State Regional Commission, and Project NOW, Inc. Community Action Agency.  Services are provided in rural areas of Rock Island County and Throughout Mercer County.  RIM Rural Transit will transport the public from rural areas to destination in the metro Quad Cities, including linking the public with MetroLINK and other area transportation providers.  RIM Rural Transit will also transport the public to destinations outside of MetroLINK’s service area.  Please visit www.ridetherim.org
